Ahead of the 2024 European Elections, key diabetes stakeholders developed a Pledge which gathers the views of the entire diabetes community. The Pledge urges EU policymakers to take decisive action by establishing a strong EU diabetes policy framework, supportive of national diabetes plans and aimed at improving diabetes prevention, diagnosis, management and care across the EU.

This initiative reflects the diabetes community’s commitment to improving the lives of those living with the condition and reducing its burden on healthcare systems across Europe.

Several Members of the European Parliament took a stand for the diabetes community and joined the diabetes pledge.
